The Top of the Bottom

she is hanging onto the top of the bottom
suspended above flourishing strands of bubbles
this place is a dream-like whisper of reality
and she has it all to herself

She sees cascades of monotony above
and a strong light below, flickering, as if inviting her to leave this
sanctuary

this is what she's been waiting for
finally, with one last wink
she drifts to the bottom of the bottom
never to return

Sunlit Fantasies

A Truthful Path

For many years now
I have walked the golden path
Some say it leads to justice
Others claim it ends in a waving flag of freedom
But, who cares about the result anyway?
I do it for the journey, because the path speaks to me
The colorful, understanding bricks pull me out of a life of concrete grey
As sweat glistens on my chin
and the sun casts yellow puffs of light
the road winks up at me
recalling my fantasy to life

A Note

You crept up to me
I placed the note in your hand
Its secret fluttered

Four Haikus Describing My Heart

An Honest Truth

In my honest mind
We're all the same walks of life
But my heart has eyes

--

Wanderer

Like a runaway
I wander to meet my fate
My heart drags behind

--

Love's Burden

Like a soft mother
My heart is too great, too full
My love is heavy

--

I'm Here, I'm There

Like a silver moon
I float across the dark sky
Always watching you

The Comforts of Love

The Forgotten Core

I am the core of your apple
the heart of your fruit
the key to your soul
the strength of your root

Too often I am lost
among sugary fires
Sometimes I feel stuck
overcome by delicious liars

You used to hold me
so close to your skin
You loved my cold seeds
and admired my tart grin

If your core is forgotten
then where is your heart?
You shouldn't depend on me
Just do your part

--

A Seasoned Soul

Sipping warm teacups
around tall gold flames
reading our journals
remembering names

Recalling those times
and longing for more
Watching the raindrops
drip down our soft cores

You give me a tap
I kiss your sweet hair
I still long for more
But I'd never dare

Your tears wet my skin
My hands warm your face
I'm glad you'll let me
move at my own pace

As I unwrap lace
and folds of old silk
Your hair rushes by
and smells of fresh milk

Your hands caress mine
My tongue turns to mush
And on your soft bed
our hearts start to push

They push for more love
and dream of old times
and here they are now
creating new rhymes

You love mildly
I play the lead role
And now, once again,
I season your soul

--

A Tray of Tea

The cup holds small hopes
In the pot, old memories
Now add some sweet love

--

I Held You Close

My lovely, my sweet
I held you, you kissed my heart
Where did our love go?

Freshen the Old

A Dusty Box

Layers of aging
I haven't touched you in years
Let's embrace again

Traces of Lust

I found an old kiss
Now, it is tasteless and dry
Some lust must go on

Poetically Uninspired

We live in illusion and the appearance of things. There is a reality. We are that reality. When you understand this, you see that you are nothing, and being nothing, you are everything. That is all.

I am currently uninspired to write. I'm reading famous quotes and poems for now. I hope this block will end soon D:

When Memories Collide

Tasting the Sea
Bending over halfway
Eyes shut softly
Mouth quietly at ease
Swiftly capturing the breeze
And smelling the sea
Do you taste it now?
Lips quivering, tongue shivering
In salty recognition
~
Paris
Sweet breath pulled me in
Your hands made my body dance
Remember Paris?
~
Paris Dress
Folds of pale pink silk
Bodice adorned with roses
Remember Paris?

I Cry
For every lost soul
For every fallen angel
For what will become
